7/28/17 - Second annual Caring About Community Gala to benefit Community Assistance Council at the Armacost Museum.
2/4/17 - CAC's satellite pantry at First Baptist Church, in partnership with Episcopal Community Services and numerous area churches, held its Souper Bowl of Caring event. to celebrate the community and its culture of caring over a soup dinner. Over 3,000 food items were collected for those in need. Click here for news coverage on this "Souper Collection."
12/12/16 - CAC's holiday free store ran the week of December 12, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Nearly 100 families were served.
11/26/16 - CAC was in the news!
11/4/16 - SKCC Chamber of Commerce hosted its second annual 5k, with part of the proceeds going to support CAC.
11/1/16 - CAC's Thanksgiving meals program ran throughout the month of November. With the support of numerous community members and businesses who chose to "adopt-a-family," we were able to serve nearly 100 families.
10/28/16 - Carol Bird-Owsley, the first ever Executive Director of Community Assistance Council, retired after 33 years of leading the organization.
10/9/16 - The annual CropWalk was held to benefit CAC and various other nonprofits fighting hunger throughout Greater Kansas City.
